Puffins are one of those good for you cereals that is actually really good.
The corn puffs known as Puffins are the signature product of Barbara’s Bakery, and you can actually get rewards for learning about Puffins in the wild (a nature documentary in a box? Sign me up!)
Today’s review is on Cinnamon Puffins, which are actually my first foray into the Puffins line. The cinnamon ones are a bit harder to find than original or peanut butter (which I have yet to try).
I’ve been wanting to try Puffins for years, but never found the opportune moment. During my latest diet, I finally caved and bought a box of cinnamon Puffins (I love cinnamon).
Why did I not try these sooner?!
Puffins are one of the few cereals on the face of this earth that do not get soggy in milk. The puffs are substantial, and incredibly filling. It feels like more than cereal: it feels like food!
Cinnamon Puffins have only 5 grams of sugar per serving, which is a few grams less than my usual cereals. After initially finding them to be a tad bit bland, the puffs grew on me each morning.
I will say that this is more of an adult cereal. If you’re kid is used to the usual, they’ll probably not be a fan of the density or flavor.
If you’re looking for a unique morning cereal, I seriously recommend cinnamon Puffins.
