Hey flock, It’s Buffalo Pride Week!
If you’re not familiar with Pride Week, the event is a weeklong celebration of all things LGBTQ.
This year’s theme is “Connect.” Here’s the description from organizers:
In times of uncertainty, building connections is as vital as it is difficult. This Pride Week we encourage you to keep celebrating being LGBTQ and take time to reflect, plan and connect.
There are ton of events being run through the Buffalo Pride Festival. There’s the Gay 5K run, a First Fridays Gallery Walk at Chroma in Allentown, the Dyke March, and so much more! Of course, the Pride Parade and Festival is Sunday, June 4.
Whether you find yourself a member of the LGBTQ community, or just consider yourself an ally, there are plenty of reasons to celebrate Pride Week in Buffalo.
If you’re looking for more information, check out Buffalo Pride Festival’s website at buffalopridefestival.com. There’s also the Facebook and Twitter for the Pride Center of WNY.
Oh, and totally go and pick up a Pride Week T-Shirt. It’s the one I’m wearing in the picture, and it’s totally awesome (and pink! They have them in other colors, too).
