Hi flock! Welcome to Late Night Cafe Chat numero 3.
Tonight’s song is the Tomorrowland mix of “Now is the Time”:
Tonight’s topic: Disney people.
You know what I’m talking about: those people that are so obsessed with Disney that they cannot function without sprouting mouse ears and bursting into song.
Let me just say, I like Disney. I’m not a hater. One of my favorite things ever is the Carousel of Progress (btw the Carousel of Progress Love twitter is awesome and you should go follow it).
There’s this weird thing about Disney people. I have yet to meet one that isn’t a manic pixie. I mean, that’s great for Disney: their brand functions on pixie dust (and I’ll have you know that I’m Bess the art fairy according to a DVD quiz from the mid 2000s). It just gets a *bit* weird outside of the parks.
I’m going to throw Yensiddisney913 into the mix. I know her as Chelsea. We go to school together, and she’s all over WNIA Radio (which you may remember I did some work for one of the shows *cough*cartoonsheep*cough*).
Now, she’s fantastic if you love Disney. Her YouTube is Disney gold, and she’s even worked at Disney.
That being said, sometimes she wants to put contact paper on every counter because she thinks it’s pretty.
I love the whole “if you can dream it, you can do it” motto. It’s what gets me through life. Chelsea is this motto: if she dreams it, she does it. Doesn’t matter if it works out or not, she tries her best, and it’s always going to be big.
I respect that about her.
Since I just threw some shade with all the subtlety of a monorail, I should probably give Chelsea some time for rebuttal:
Disney has been my life ever since I’ve been 6 months old. I have gone every year, sometimes twice a year. Disney is all I’ve ever known. Whenever I’m having a bad day, throw on a Disney movie. Mad? Throw on a vlog of the Magic Kingdom. Feeling heartbroken? Make a vlog about it. Feeling like I’ve just conquered the world? Throw on the Moana soundtrack and stand on my bed singing “I AM MOANA!”
My couple friends and I (not Sheepie since she doesn’t live at NU like I do), started a weekly craft night a couple weeks ago. We were doing a project and I needed a Disney quote, and I came across this one from Sleeping Beauty: “they say that if you dream it more than once, it will come true.”
I’ve always wanted to be famous since I’ve been younger, let’s mention when they had open tryouts for High School Musical 2 back in 2007 that my mom refused to let me go to… but with having a YouTube channel and having the complete creative ability to do anything I want, I can track my progress and see that I am making a difference to people who actively watch my videos.
I never let anything stop me… I mean, maybe if an adult says no then I have to, but that’s beside the point. When I say I’m going to do something, I get it done. I am a girl, I’m determined.. I’ve always wanted to be the CEO of Disney. Although there’s a 1% chance of that happening, I am going to be a successful business woman when I graduate college.
I have dreamed my future, and I’m doing it.
So, what do you think of Disney people? Are you a Disney person? Leave a tale in the comments!
