My Visit to the Genesee Country Village & Museum

Hey flock!

I’m heading east with this week’s post to talk about the Genesee Country Village & Museum in Mumford, NY.

Genesee Country Village touts itself as the largest living history museum in New York, and it really is!

I was able to travel through time learning about the region’s history. Did you know Genesee was the place to stop before heading west? The early Antebellum era land agent taught me that one.

There are three distinct eras present in the village: early settlement, Antebellum, and the turn-of-the-century. There’s also some spectacular houses, which made me immediately want to live in a mansion (you could see me doing that, right?)

The Genesee Country Village and Museum is located at 1410 Flint Hill Road, Mumford, NY. They are a season attraction, so check the website for hours.
