Happy Memorial Day, Flock!
It’s the unofficial start of the Summer season, which means it’s the official start of the local grills. While several of them opened up early this year due to the amazingly mild weather, I can guarantee we are now in peak hot dog season.
That being said, it’s time for my long overdue review of Jim and Paul’s SuperDog!
Since I wanted to try basically everything on their menu, I went with Jim’s Super Plate. The platter includes a hot dog, burger, fries, onion rings, and nacho cheese on the side.

The Super Plate is absolutely amazing! There’s nothing like a charbroiled hot dog fresh of the grill, and the fries and onion rings are fantastic. The burger is great, and of course everything on the planet tastes better with nacho cheese!

In addition to the Super Plate, I grabbed a Loganberry milkshake (since I am so thoroughly of the 716 that it is required by law). Was it fantastic? Of course!
Pro-tip: The Super Plate makes for an awesome cheap lunch date. I like burgers and onion rings, and my partner likes hot dogs and fries, so on the rare occasion we we don’t devour an entire platter each, we can just split one platter down the middle!
SuperDog is a bit strange in its location. While most of the local grills are next to parks or the water, they’re located right in front of the Niagara Falls Airport on Niagara Falls Boulevard. However, this clearly has not stopped business from booming (and let’s be honest: who wouldn’t want to eat fries next to the place responsible for Yeager breaking the sound barrier?)
So, clean the drool off your phone and look for the yellow awning in front of 2055 Niagara Falls Boulevard, and grab yourself some grilltastic awesomeness.
