It’s Independence Day here in the good ol’ U.S. of A, and I’m grilling! Today I’m reviewing the Member’s Mark spinach and Asiago chicken sausage from Sam’s Club.
Chicken Sausage is one of those things that either works or doesn’t. Chicken is not a universal food, no matter what everyone tries to push.
The first thing I have to say about these sausages is that they slip. A lot.
One flew across my kitchen floor. Another one was lost to the concrete while transferring them to the grill.
The other thing these things do is squirt. Sausages usually spray oil on the grill: it’s a sign they’re cooking. These spray on the plate every time you try to cut them.
Now, aside from that, these things are really good.
The best way to explain the flavor profile is Zuppa Toscana from Olive Garden. It tastes like a salty, classic garlic soup. For chicken sausage, these things are super moist.
I wouldn’t put these sausages in rolls: I think the bread might swallow the flavor. This is definitely a plate sausage.
If you’re in Sam’s Club, I definitely recommend picking these up.
