Hey flock!
We’re travelling east again this week, this time to the beautiful Sonnenberg Gardens in Canandaigua, NY.
Sonnenberg Gardens (and mansion) was the summer home of Frederick and Mary Clark Thompson. When Frederick died, Mary took the place over.
Travelling all around the world, Mary Clark’s lavish lands contain all sorts of strange pieces.
Sonnenberg is now part of the New York State Park system, and they have been working tirelessly with the Sonnenberg volunteers to restore the estate.
Sonnenberg is also a spectacular place for weddings, with a new wedding venue opening in the gardens recently.
I also went for a wine tasting near the greenhouses. I simply must tell you that the Sonnenberg Mary Red is an incredibly pleasant wine (which is why I bought two bottles to bring back home with me).
Sonnenberg Gardens is located at 151 Charlotte Street, Canandaigua, NY.
