Flock, before I even start the review: you need to follow Mackinali’s on Instagram. Seriously, it’s a riot.

If you’re not familiar with Mackinali’s, it’s a new cafe and bake shop on Old Falls Street famous for their Cheesecake on a Stick.

The photo above is a half-slice of their Almond Delight. A half-slice.

I’m gonna need a minute.

The Almond Delight is a slice of cheesecake covered in basically an entire bar of chocolate, shredded coconut, and almonds.

This is not a fork-cake: hence why it is usually on a stick. It is a self-contained nuclear weapon of your culinary dreams.

The half-slice was…surprisingly good. It was enough sugar to make me clear an email list out in 12 seconds flat, but it was good. A full slice is definitely not a one-person feat.

Mackinali’s has sandwiches, too. I’ve been told by my friends that they’re good. If you’re around Old Falls Street, I definitely recommend swinging by.
